This March issue of 716 craft·design focuses on the Selling Yarns 2: Innovation for sustainability conference and the exhibition ReCoil, Change & Exchange in Coiled Fibre Art curated by Margie West.

The innovations occurring in Indigenous fibre practice, is nothing short of revolutionary. ReCoil: Change and Exchange in Coiled Fibre Art explores the influences underpinning some of the most recent and often dramatic changes to contemporary Indigenous fibre art happening in many parts of Australia.

The catalogue essay, Strings Through the Heart: the proliferation of coiling across Australia by Margie West has been republished by Craft Australia.

The Selling Yarns 2 conference follows the success of the first conference, Selling Yarns: Australian Indigenous textiles and good business in the 21st century, held in Darwin in 2006. The Craft Australia Library published a series of papers from the 2006 conference.
